No.9 seed Andy Roddick has won through to a semi-final match-up with German Rainer Schuettler after winning an incredible five-set battle against No.18 seed Younes El Aynaoui 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-4, 21-19.
The match lasted exactly five hours with the fifth-set taking two hours 23 minutes to complete. Roddick broke El Aynaoui in the 21st game of the fifth set, but was unable to serve out the match as the Moroccan levelled at 11-11.
